READ
Manuscript Read
We read each manuscript first--before we make any edits. Our goal is to understand the spirit of your story before we attempt to edit it (even when it is apparent that edits are needed). Because you took the time to write it, we're going to read it. Manuscripts are accepted in the following format: double-spaced, Times New Roman or Arial type, 12 pt, pages numbered.
REDLINE EDITS
Editing
Our first round edits are paper and redlines. You will receive a digital or physical copy of redlines with an edit symbol key to help you understand what we mean by the marks we make. We don't skip this step. Our goal at Pen to Press by Ladero is to ensure that you, the author, develop as a result of your partnership with us.
REVISIONS
Revisions
When it comes to revisions, our goal is excellence. We are concerned about how the book looks and feels -- exterior and interior. It has your name on it, and we want you to be oh-so-proud when you see your book in any format. So, we aim to get it right, and we will revise with our goal in mind: excellence.
